In algorithm development studies, system/software performance tests and efficiency analyses of applied EA technics of RF and IR systems, the scene or medium perceived by such systems should be produced. The infrastructures in order to produce synthetic RF and IR mediums have been developed in ILTAREN.
The RF medium perceived by the RF system is being constructed due to the scenario, with regards to system specific parameters and medium conditions. Clutter calculations for the active RF systems have also been realized.
The IR medium perceived by the IR system is being constructed due to the scenario, with regards to system specific parameters, properties of the materials used for creating the IR signatures of the platforms and medium conditions. In this manner, a recent developed real time IR scene generator for naval platforms is planned to be updated for the applications on land and airborne platforms.
In order to fulfill different requirements in scene generators, studies have still been carried on including model development, validations of IR signatures by measurements, novel measurement methods development and compatibility with the third party software which are acknowledged internationally. Alongside the studies mentioned above, hardware interface development studies have also been continued which will enable IR scene generator work with various systems.
